The South African Police Service (SAPS) invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for Security Officer positions within the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) at Head Office and various provincial offices. These posts are offered at salary level 03, with a remuneration package of R163 680 per annum. The appointments fall under the Component: Executive Support Services, Office of the Section Head: Risk and Integrity Management, and are aimed at strengthening access control, asset protection, and overall security operations at identified SAPS facilities across multiple provinces
Successful candidates will be responsible for executing access control in accordance with relevant legislation, conducting identification and registration of employees and visitors, patrolling premises, monitoring security equipment, and reporting security-related incidents or deficiencies to senior officials. Applicants must be South African citizens with no criminal record, be proficient in at least two official languages (one of which must be English), and meet the prescribed minimum requirements, including PSIRA registration and a Grade C security certificate or higher. REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must display competency in the post-specific functions of the post.

Candidates may be required to undergo a personal interview and practical assessment where applicable, with appointments made in terms of the Public Service Act, 1994 (Act No. 103 of 1994).
