Stats SA conducts various surveys and projects, for example, census, community survey, labor force survey, general household survey, among others.
From time to time, these surveys and projects require the hiring of contract staff.
We recommend that you register online to be included in the database which is used to identify potential candidates for these contract positions when needed.
Since the projects take place in all regions of the country, people of all racial groups and regions are encouraged to apply.

Candidates invited to training must present:
.Certified copy of identity document
.Certified copy of the Matric certificate
.Documents must have been certified within 6 months of submission.
NB: Applicants may be disqualified for not having submitted all the required documents as indicated above.

.Be prepared to work weekends and outside normal office hours.
.be an RSA citizen with no criminal record.
Applicants who have already signed up for the HR Contracts database should update their information accordingly.
Applicants should upload the following document when submitting the application:
Proof of residence / address of residence (eg Rental agreement, affidavit, letter from tribal authority, municipal invoice, clothing invoice, etc.).
Any registration without the aforementioned proof will be considered incomplete and the applicant will not be able to complete the registration in the database.
