PUTCO is inviting South African unemployed youth to apply for Apprenticeship Programme 2025.

About the Programme: PUTCO, in collaboration with the Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA), is offering apprenticeship opportunities towards the Artisan Trade Test Qualifications for the Automotive Electrician and Diesel Mechanic trades. This is a three-year, SAQA accredited apprenticeship that balances both theory and practical training, including preparation for the trade test. Successful completion will lead to an Artisan qualification, opening up numerous career opportunities in the field.
Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 or N2 with Mathematics, Physical Science, a relevant trade theory subject(s), and any other fourth subject.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career as an Automotive Electrician or Diesel Mechanic.
- Previous experience in a technical or mechanical environment is a strong advantage (even if it is part-time, student work, or freelance).
Conditions of Employment:
- A 3-year apprenticeship contract with PUTCO.
- Successful candidates must commit to completing the full duration of the apprenticeship program.
