Masibambane College is an independent school situated in Orange Farm, some 50km south of Johannesburg. The College caters for 1200 students from Grade R to Grade 12. Masibambane is an English medium school. The school is a member of the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA) and partners with the Anglican Church, Education Africa and St. Johns College.

The School seeks to fill the following positions.

 

Auxillary Social Worker

The ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:

 

Appropriate and relevant qualification in Social Work

Registration with the SACSSP

Previous experience working in a school setting or with young children and teens is essential

Help students adapt effectively in the school environment

Maintain accurate case files and reports to track student issues and progress

Ability to relate well to adolescents

Be able to facilitate group sessions

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Identify stakeholder resources for Social Work services

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Compassionate and approachable personality

Strong sense of discretion, professionalism and confidentiality

Understand and promote the ethos and vision of the College

Outstanding organisational and administrative skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all stakeholders

Energetic, enthusiastic and ability to use initiative
