As part of its 2025 recruitment campaign, iMVULA is actively seeking disciplined, vigilant, and proactive individuals to fill Security Officer roles across South Africa. Tasks
As a Security Officer at iMVULA, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting routine patrols of assigned premises to deter unauthorized access and ensure adherence to safety protocols
Operating surveillance systems such as CCTV and alarm controls to monitor activities and identify potential threats
Responding to emergency situations, including fire alarms, unauthorized entries, or medical incidents
Reporting security incidents in detailed logs and cooperating with law enforcement when required
De-escalating conflicts and handling disturbances with professionalism and calmness
Providing basic first aid and CPR assistance during emergencies
Maintaining accurate records of security checks, incidents, and daily operations
Qualifications
To be considered for the iMVULA Security Officer role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Matric certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
- Valid Security Guard Certification (PSIRA registered preferred)
- Basic First Aid Certification – essential
- CPR Certification – required
- Fire Safety Training Certification – advantageous
Experience
While entry-level candidates may apply, preference will be given to applicants who possess the following:
- Previous work experience in security, law enforcement, military, or public safety roles
- Experience working with surveillance and alarm systems
- Familiarity with handling emergency response protocols
- Knowledge of basic computer operations, particularly in MS Word and Excel for incident reporting
