About the Learnership
This programme provides hands-on training and theoretical learning to prepare candidates for a career as Chemical Process Operators. Learners will gain experience working with plant equipment and chemicals under the supervision of qualified operators.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Plant Operators with daily operational tasks
Perform duties as instructed by the Production Team Leader
Operate plant under supervision and later independently once competent
Participate in NQF 2 plant operation unit standards training
Handle packaging (bags, drums, bulk containers) and raw materials
Perform general housekeeping in plant areas
Complete production and process documentation accurately
Work safely in confined spaces and at heights
Undergo forklift training as required
Be available for shift work and overtime
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science (Essential)
Basic computer literacy (MS Office, data entry)
Age: 18 to 25 years old
Must be medically fit for working in a chemical plant environment
Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced industrial setting
